This course fulfills the requirements for the Intercultural Chaplaincy Certificate program. It informs students about the roles and functions of chaplains in diverse settings. It equips them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to offer spiritual care and support to people from various religious and cultural backgrounds. Special attention is given to issues of cultural diversity and intercultural intelligence, preparing students to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and foster inclusive spiritual care environments.
This 7-week course explores the intersection of spirituality and health through a Womanist lens, integrating cultural intelligence, critical reflection, and creative expression. Participants will engage with texts, visual art, movement, and media to deepen their understanding of how spirituality informs health and caregiving across cultural and religious contexts.
Though the course is asynchronous, we will meet online onApril 14th and May 5th from 9-10:30 am.
