This course is the second half of a two-semester, year-long introduction to the Old Testament and its interpretation. We examine the diverse literature of the Old Testament, consider the historical and cultural contexts of the ancient world that produced it, introduce critical methods of biblical interpretation, and highlight the significance of the Old Testament for Christian faith and God’s changing world.
