This course explores the contexts of New Testament texts and of modern readers as interpreters of the NT. We examine closely the literary contexts as well as the historical background of NT texts. Our analysis and exploration of these texts and contexts will be placed in dialogue with contemporary justice questions and challenges that we live with and that confront us as people of faith in the church and the world. 3 Credits.
