AFRICAN WOMEN’S THEOLOGIES

This course is a critical analysis of African women’s theologies through the works of African women from different contexts. The course explores how different women from their varied contexts use theology to articulate different forms of spiritualties and ethical issues and expose and challenge injustice in both church and society. The course finally brings to light ways in which African women have created space for theological discourse and are impacting the growth and development of the church. Given the reality of climate change this course also looks at how African women theologians have re imagined theology in the context of ecological change under the theme Mother earth mother Africa through biblical and theological reflections.  The reading material is written by African women theologians.
